A Reddit user has garnered over 300 upvotes on their Far Cry 5 post that shows off just how well they were able to recreate Dampe’s graveyard utilizing the tools available in the game’s level editor. Although several The Legend of Zelda games have been released since Ocarina of Time was back in 1998, the N64 title maintains a dedicated fan base that takes their love of the game into newer ones. Ocarina of Time isn’t the first Legend of Zelda game to be represented in Far Cry 5, as other fans have made levels inspired by Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild, but very few have made one-to-one replicas of Ocarina of Time locations as this Far Cry fan has.

Reddit user Mojoswoptops2020 recently shared several images of their Far Cry 5 Arcade version of Dampe’s graveyard from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that highlight the memorable place from many different angles. The set of screenshots fittingly begins with a view of the gravekeeper’s hut and the arched entrance that fans would be familiar with as a barrier between the graveyard and Ocarina of Time’s Kakariko Village. With multiple images spotlighting the peculiar landscape of Dampe’s graveyard and the various graves shattered around it, some also show the Kakariko Village windmill which is home to the Phonogram Man in the background.
The trees cluttering Mojoswoptops2020’s Far Cry 5 Dampe’s graveyard are strategically placed to replicate the environment, while tombstones, broken fences, flower pots, and overgrown posts encapsulate the darker aesthetic of the burial grounds. In Ocarina of Time, players can acquire rupees and a heart piece by exploring Dampe’s graveyard and taking place in the grave-digging tour mini-game, but this Far Cry 5 Arcade level is simply an interpretation of how a 4K upgrade to the game may resemble. Though it’s unlikely that any of the graves can be pushed aside as easily as Link does with one tombstone in Ocarina of Time, one screenshot offers a subtle nod to this moment in the N64 game with a grave that’s slightly behind the others.
Because of the visual improvements made to games since Ocarina of Time was released, the Far Cry 5 Arcade images are clearly improved from the original Dampe’s graveyard, and it gives Nintendo fans an idea of what the location may look like on modern hardware. While Mojoswoptops2020 has been praised for the attention to detail in their Far Cry 5 Arcade iteration of Dampe’s graveyard in Ocarina of Time, it’s currently unclear if they intend to make more Legend of Zelda levels or not.
