For many avid Zelda gamers today, Zelda II is often considered one of the most underwhelming sequels. Thankfully, it seems that Nintendo learned from that and gave players an even better game with A Link To The Past. With Breath of the Wild’s sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, set to release later this year, many fans still show appreciation for some of the more retro entries in this iconic series.

Creative Zelda fan and user weiyan21 recreated the sword known as The Magical Sword using Blender, featured on Zelda II: The Adventure of Link’s cover box art. Blender is a free, open-source tool used to create 3D models, and Weiyan21 has shown just what unique creations can be brought to life using this software. Other users were equally impressed by the fan art, suggesting it could also be 3D printed. One fan even pointed out they prefer The Magical Sword to The Master Sword which has appeared in every single Zelda title except Zelda II.

The Magical Sword’s design is thought to be by some fans as more beautiful and intricate than Link’s trusty Master Sword. Weiyan’s creation also brought back fond memories for some gamers who enjoyed playing Zelda II growing up. Recently another iconic piece of Link’s equipment, the Hylian Shield was recreated in stained glass by another talented fan. With so many different items available throughout all the various games over the years, there are tons of options for creative gamers to choose from to recreate.

Although Zelda II came out quite a while ago, fans continue to shine a light on other memorable older titles through their fan art creations. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker’s Toon Link was brought to life in a gorgeous painting by another creative gamer. The Legend of Zelda community continues to show that it houses many talented artists eager to show off their creations in different and unique ways.
