The Associated Press reported on May 3 the games were likely to be relocated. Marlins players attended a seminar on Zika that heightened concerns about playing in San Juan, Marlins team player representative Tom Koehler told the AP.

Marlins players voted on whether to play the games as scheduled, Koehler told the AP. The pitcher declined to share the result but said there was a lot of concern within the clubhouse about playing in Puerto Rico.
